As Humabiologics’ Chief Compliance Officer, Dan Mahaffey, is responsible for ensuring the company’s policies and procedures are effectively implemented in accordance with FDA, ISO, and cGMP requirements. With an MBA in supply management and drawing on over two decades of experience in quality management and regulatory affairs for biomedical and biological devices, Dan previously served as Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at a nationally recognized tissue bank, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and knowledge of various quality standards in the tissue banking industry. He was a third-party notified body auditor and has previously worked at numerous major medical device companies throughout the world.

Dan holds Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) in US FDA regulations from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS), was a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist from the American Association of Tissue Banks (CTBS), and is a Certified Biomedical Auditor from the American Society for Quality (ASQ). He has also presented and spoken at multiple conferences for these organizations, highlighting his passion for quality and compliance.
